Antonella Magliocco

Antonella Magliocco is tax manager at the Tax Department of Banca d'Italia, where she has been in charge of the Tax Analysis Division since 1995. Previously, she had worked for ten years in the field of banking and financial supervision, focusing on regulatory reforms.

Her main work and research areas are the tax treatment of cross border investments in financial assets, tax policies affecting business taxation, tax amnesties, international and EU tax issues.

Between 2009 and 2010 she had a one-year experience at the Italian Revenue Agency (Agenzia delle Entrate) in Rome, as Head of the Department for International, Financial Taxation and State Aids.

She is member of the Commission for International Taxation of the Certified Public Accountants Association of Rome; she takes part in the Editorial Board of the Quarterly uarteReview "Financial products and tax treatment".

Since 2006 she extended her professional horizons to gender policies and, more recently, to issues regarding social economy, through a research project on women's poverty. In the double role of tax expert and analyst of social policies, she is involved in the study of new tax measures linked to solidarity.

Married and mother of a 21-years-old girl, she actively volunteers in the Red Cross and Caritas. She is author of several publications both in the tax field and in other areas. She is member of IFA-International Fiscal Association, PWA - Professional Women's Association, AICR-American International Club of Rome.
