Long-Term Growth

New Paradigm for Development

The International Academy fosters a new paradigm for development that truly serves the human person, fosters social justice, promotes solidarity among nations and future generations.

Only the setting up of a common space for economic and social growth, open to dialogue and integration of values and plural identities can provide the reference points necessary to educate the young generations and the leading class.

The International Academy intends to establish a permanent discussion forum for governments, academia, institutions and the business community to promote the human integral development and the fight against poverty and social inequalities through education, political cooperation, long-term investments and economic integration.

Global Ethics & Multiculturalism

Globalization calls for globally binding values to create a sound base for trans-national legal system. The question of cross-cultural global values and ethical standard is crucial for the success of global market economy and can be addressed in despite all the differences.

Is a global consensus possible in a era of ethical relativism and in a multicultural society ? What are the elements of this ethical framework? Are values and standards truly "universal" or a particular point of view of "western value imperialism"?

Is multiculturalism a blessing or a curse? Must democracy be secular or can religion play a role? Does the "West" still exist and, if so, what does it stand for? Has China successfully fused capitalism with authoritarianism? Will Islam change the West or will the West change Islam? What validity do Enlightenment values retain in an age when the very idea of "truth" has become suspect?
