European Union Predicts Economic Gains from Influx of Migrants

According to the European Commission’s periodic economic forecasts, the arrival this years of a large numbers of migrants from war-torn countries like Syria would provide a stimulus to the European economy, making necessary increases in public spending to manage the influx. The most divisive issue that Europe has faced in decades could also bring positive impacts as the increase in workers, through the execution of right policies to facilitate access to the labor market. If migration becomes a “well-managed resource” it could contrast the aging population that threatens economic growth.
