Leadership and Values

The profound moral and economic crisis has shown an urgent need to set ourselves rules and to discover new forms of commitment.

The primary challenge for the Academy is a decided and courageous investment in education to form new global leaders to whom "strong thinking" and solid rules of conduct will be transmitted.

The Academy organizes courses of higher formation, master and workshop for managers to teach principles and values, which should steer personal development and talents as well as guide decision-making processes and experiences in the professional life.

The evolution of organizational and business models has deeply modified the role of man in the business system. Today, an approach would entail valuing human capital not only as a source of wealth generation but also and especially as a creator of "good values" and to disseminate welfare over the entire community.

Corporate Leaders should act as role models in the implementation of ethical business principles. Responsibility lies with senior management to define the guiding normative principles of the organization and to enforce these, both within its dealings with external parties.

Ethical training should be a mandatory component of corporate education in all multinational companies, as empirical evidence suggest that this facilitates the development of an ethical corporate culture with the morally accountable mindset required to compete with integrity in different cultural and legal contexts.
